When I was a little girl, much like others, I developed a vision for how my life would go. By 25 I would be married to the actual greatest man in the world, have a house with a front porch and a huge yard- swarming with children. Everyday was sunny, even during the storms. I sought this dream throughout my teens and into my 20’s. The decisions that would follow into my late 20’s changed my life forever. The dream I had as a little girl was shattered and there was no going back. Gone were the days of my fairy tale.

Paperdoll 2.0

I’ve been divorced for almost two years now. Being an ex-wife and co-parent is a full time job. I’ve learned a lot about myself and how resilient one can be in the face of adversity and extreme stress.

Today I am a proud wife and mother of two. While we have plans to add more, I am soaking in all that I have been given in this moment.

It took me a long time to get to this point. As difficult as it was (and continues to be), I am excited to be able to share my journey and provide the insight I wish I would have had before my journey started.
